C-42 Additive Change Order #3 for Keystone Heights High School Panelboard Replacement/Switch Gear Buildings 1 - 3 and Portables

Issue/Rationale

Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications.  Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board.  This change order is required to add breakers not shown on contract documents that were found to be missing during the demolition of the old panels.  Contractor:  T & M Electric, Inc.; Engineer:  KPI Engineering, Inc.



Recommended Action

Approve the change order.



Financial Impact

If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $2,257.78.  The substantial completion date was August 8, 2011.  Additional 24 days in addition to the 15 days in the contract is required between substantial completion and final completion.  Final completion date is September 16, 2011.  Engineer fees will increase by $135.47 as a result of this Change Order.
